My daughter and her friends wanted to camp out in the backyard So they collected all of the patio chairs and tables, and the folding picnic table  Added some extra lumber, some big rocks and a ladder or two  And covered it with every available blanket and sheet in the house

I tried to take a picture of the dogs on the patio, but they were in the shadows Dillon went inside my little studio/chapel/playhouse to get a better view This is Dillon and MacKenzie wrestling on the patio This is Dillon and MacKenzie resting on the patio

A better shot of Dillon and MacKenzie resting on the patio I had a really hard time getting the dogs to sit still for me out in the sun Here they are making a run for it as soon as I put the camera up to my eye Close up of the goldfish pond. The brown fish is named Elizabeth
fish.jpg (43631 bytes) fish0.jpg (45679 bytes) fish1.jpg (48239 bytes) fish2.jpg (51311 bytes)
I wish that I had moved the water buckets before I took these shots This is the same angle but shows the fish in a feeding frenzy I took a few shots of the pond trying to get the mood of the landscaping The sunlight is too bright to really see all the different wood tones in the deck
fish3.jpg (50799 bytes) fish4.jpg (54383 bytes) fish6.jpg (57967 bytes) fish7.jpg (52335 bytes)
On the left, you can just begin to see the handmade fence around the flowers The shadows are too dark to see the marigolds in the front flower bed You can see the marigolds at the end of the walkway on the right It is so nice to sit on this bench in the early morning or late afternoon
fish8.jpg (52847 bytes) flowers1.jpg (57455 bytes) flowers2.jpg (56943 bytes) flowers3.jpg (57455 bytes)
The flowers on the shelf over the pond are not real, but they hide the fence This year's garden planted itself, I was too busy, but I am delighted with the result I have morning glories, green beans, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes There is also a ton of basil and mint and lots of marigolds and alysum
flowers4.jpg (54895 bytes) flowers5.jpg (58479 bytes) flowers6.jpg (58479 bytes) flowers7.jpg (55919 bytes)
The big prickly looking plants on either side are gopher purge There is my garden swing at the other end of the walkway This is the view from the swing looking towards the compost heap The morning glories grow over the trellis bridging the walkway
flowers8.jpg (54895 bytes) fuzzyJarrod.jpg (50799 bytes) fuzzyPatrick.JPG (46703 bytes) myfinger.jpg (51823 bytes)
The morning glories come in all different shades of blue  Jarrod sitting on the patio recliner, he moved and got blurry Patrick was moving so fast putting up the tent, I never did get a good shot This was a really good shot except for the giant finger in the picture
pepperplant.JPG (52335 bytes)
This is a shot of the bell pepper plant in the planter behind the firepit bench This a  picture of Dillon after his first professional grooming - nice!
